Ribbon-Pulling Hat Day
We work in eight old homes in Beaumont's Oaks Historic District. They have charm, character, creaks and cracks. Over the last several months Pat Broussard has headed a campus improvement project that included some pressure washing, painting, patching, trimming, flooring, even a kitchen sink. One of the last touches was unveiled July 1 with a Ribbon-Pulling for a new covered outdoor area. It was celebrated with Willa White's ice cream floats and a campus hat and cap day. The array of headwear was impressive. A handsome beret, floppy beach hats, straw hats, black cowboy hat, hand-decorated cap, extra wide sombrero, and one that turned a deli to-go cup into a flower pot. The campus improvements are helping preserve Beaumont's and Jason's history, not to mention, they're nice.
