05.21.11 What a Day for Troy

Saturday, CFO Troy Cormier swam 2.4 miles, rode his bike 112 miles and ran 26.2 miles. FOR FUN. He was one of 2,100 triathletes in the first Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas event in The Woodlands. Troy's time: 13 hours, 19 minutes and 45 seconds. The best time was recorded by a 34-year-old from Spain.

Troy laughed at the blob of sunblock he didn't realize was on his face in the photo, and he thanked his many well-wishers:

"I cannot express my gratitutde for the overwhelming support I received from my family, both nuclear and Jason's. It really buoyed me throughout the event. I was constantly reminded of the Ironman Motto: Swim 2.4 miles! Bike 112 miles! Run 26.2 miles! Brag for the rest of your life!"
